Volunteer in the ReStore

DSC08062Without volunteers, our ReStores couldn’t function. Greeting customers, running the cash register, pricing goods to be sold, and unloading the truck, volunteers are an integral part of the ReStores. Everyone over the age of 13 is welcome, and no special skills are necessary.

For many, volunteering in the ReStore is a great way to make a difference for Habitat without swinging a hammer. Many volunteers find the family-like environment in the ReStores to be welcoming, and quickly find new friends and a sense of belonging.

Join our dynamic, energetic volunteer team to help keep the ReStore running smoothly! Work with the manager, staff and other volunteers to keep donations moving through our stock room, greet people and run the register, and get donated items priced and ready to hit the floor. You can also help keep store sections stocked and tidy, or assist with customer service by serving as a resource to shoppers on the sales floor. Many of our volunteers come to the ReStore to be with people, stay busy and receive the satisfaction of giving back to the community. They may volunteer for 3 hours a month or as much as 100! We have volunteers aged 12 to 91 years! You’re never too old or too young and there’s always something to do.
