Spring Project Intern: January-April 2020
Chatham Habitat is looking for an intern to help develop and implement surveys and interviews in order to evaluate the long-term impact of homeownership among Chatham Habitat’s homeowners. Duties will include researching best practices in surveying and interviewing, drafting survey and interview questions in collaboration with staff, disseminating surveys to homeowners, following up to encourage participation, scheduling and conducting interviews, collecting and inputting data, and working as part of a team to synthesize data. Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required.
Dates and times are flexible, and course credit is available.
Project Interns will plan and implement a project within a specific area of nonprofit work (outreach, advocacy, etc.). While unpaid, interns can receive course credit or service hours, as well as opportunities to attend Chatham Habitat meetings and special events. This is a good opportunity for students who are looking to learn more about the nonprofit sector.
Even if we don’t have a current job opening that suits you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch! We are always looking for regular volunteers (a great way to fill the time while you’re looking for work), and are also open to developing structured internships for students or other people who are interested in learning more about non-profits. We have had interns in Construction and Resource Development (fundraising, communications) in the past, and are open to similar opportunities in Family Services or the ReStores.
