Collegiate Challenge is a national program that allows college students from across the country to spend their Spring Break volunteering at Habitat sites away from home. It’s a great program for the students because it allows them a chance to make new friends, learn some construction skills, and learn about a community other than their own. It’s also great for us at Chatham Habitat for a number of reasons: each student makes a $75 contribution to CHFH, and while they are here, our energy changes–regular volunteers and staff are excited, and we get so much work done in just a week! This year, we had three groups of students in March. They accomplished so much, and their enthusiasm was contagious!
